Release Notes

  • Fixed serious issue that causes data corruption on certain partial put operations. See work item 6310 for more details.
  • Support for formatting arrays as single-valued attributes (primary purpose is to support byte[] properties).
  • Support for formatting generic dictionary properties as multi-valued attributes (you must provide your own custom formatter, the Savant change simply make this possible)
  • Added ISimpleSavantU interface which unifies ISimpleSavant and ISimpleSavant2 for easier unit test mocking and configuration management.
  • Support for select result caching. Cached values are only used for Get operations, not future selects.
  • Fixed several minor caching issues

Reviews for this release

I can't say enough about Simple Savant. It abstracts away just enough of the AWS SDK that you don't have to think about it, but doesn't try to do too much. I still fill fully away of how my data is persisted, the capabilities of SimpleDB, etc, but can get up to speed in 1/10th of the time.
