Span on Global Formatter Replacements

Ashley,

I've been looking at using Global Formatter Replacement rather than adding attributes to arrays in my classes.

I've made an ITypeFormmer that converts arrays of ints and doubles to binary and then base64. For most of these I have to add the span attribute anyway which defeats the purpose slightly. Could there be a way to define which of these custom formatter should also "Span" too?

If I use the supplied ByteArrayFormatter, do I still have to add [Span] if I'm expecting the data to be over one attribute in length?

Best Regards,

Hi Tim,

Sorry, formatting and spanning are treated as orthogonal functions. If you need to span attributes you'll need to add the Span tag regardless of the formatter being used.
